I love all aspects of Bali, and as I have been 39 times, I have tried most there is on offer!

Kuta is an experience not to be missed, others may not agree!
I met a guy from Toorak whilst I was working at his home, I asked had he been to Bali as a lot of his furniture was Balinese type furniture. He said, yes, I have been many times and loves it. I then asked where he stayed. He replied, Four Seasons, and asked where I stayed. I replied that I stayed in many places but in Kuta I liked to stay at the Bounty Hotel. Ahh, Kuta he replied, I went there for a drink once.

From what you have stated about yourself and family, i would say you would be hard stretched not to "Love Bali". You are obviously adventures and open minded. The people of Bali are so easy to get along with, even if some do baddger you at times to sell their wares.

August is great weather wise and just misses the end of season footy trips. September also great weather but yes, some young Australian footy trippers do go a little overboard, but as long as they have respect for others they are a pleasure to be around, makes me feel envious that those days are over for me!

Australians, are not the only obnoxious travellers, and are only about 20 percent of the tourists who vist Bali each year.

Cheers and happy travelling,

Bob, also from Melb.
