Cash passport is great, because you get 2 cards so 2 members of your family can have one card each BUT it is not a good ex.rate and fee's aren't too crash hot either.
Best bet is EFTPOS cards and cash. There are now so many ATM machines in bali, that you are never too far away from one.
We have found that the ex.rate via EFTPOS is very close to the street rate - handy if you plan on spending big $$$
