2 of my highlights to Bali are Uluwatu and Tanah Lot. If you get to Uluwatu arond 500PM you will have an hour to walk around the grounds and visit the temple before the Kecak Dance starts at 610PM. It finishes by 700Pm so it's not a long stay there. If there is a nice sunset that is an amazing experience. The dancing is wonderful, the Kecak 'guys' are always entertaining and the surroundings are magical. You could stop at Jimbaran for dinner after the Kecak Dance but I find that Jimbaran is best done if you get there for sunset. Maybe save this for another trip.

I also love Tanah Lot. For some reason, it really is a spiritual place for me. I usually go there around 430PM and unfortunetly it is very busy at this time of the day as everyone is waiting for sunset...but if you get a nice sunset it is amazing. If the tide is out you can also get blessed by the Hindu priests down below.

I also love the rice terraces at Tegallalang, just outside of Ubud.

I usually have lunch at Saranam Eco resort which overlooks beautiful rice terraces very close to Bedugal and Ulun Danu temple.

You could easily do Ubud area, Bedugal area and Tanah Lot in one day. There is lots more to see in these places so if time permits you could wing it a bit.

I'd do the shopping in Kuta with the Uluwatu on another day.

I wouldn't leave it to the driver to figure out where you should go
