We went to the head of Demography and Civil Registry in Denpasar with all of the appropriate information. Divorce papers, birth certificates, passports. To do it this way you need an Indonesian speaking person to do negotiating.Your paper work will be placed on the pile unless you pay. As we were already married in a Hindu ceremony we just needed the legal paper. The notarise from the government came to our house. We had to have two witnesses both with appropriate identification. They were Indonesian also. It was carried out much the same as what you would get at the registry office in Aus. Balinese relatives thought it was hilarious.
