Visa Payment?

Howdy all. Have travelled to Bali a few times now and we have taken $US with us to pay for our visas in the airport. This is a pain in the bum at times and I was wondering has anyone had any dramas using their credit card to pay for the visas? Can the airport staff be trusted with our card details?
