having a simple legal marriage at a registry office in Aus. and then having what "appears" to be a full wedding in Bali.(More or less a confirmation)
It may not be the most romantic way, and even a little underhand, as you can keep the Aus bit quiet.
However, you will know that you (they) are legally married, and will also have the experience of a Bali "ceremony" with complete peace of mind, and low cost.
If not using a planner, there may be some difficulties to overcome, and then doubt about legalities down the track.
