Hiring a Car - Parking Q

We are wanting to hire a car next month. Does anyone know if there are any parking rules or is it just a case of if there is a spot on the side of the road you can park there.

More concern was for the busy roads like JL Kartika Plaza, Rum Jungle, JL Laksmana etc..
