I have had a motorcycle jacket, trousers and gloves made in Bali. You should go to a leather shop that that has examples of motorcycle gear.
I had to insist on them using thick cows leather which they claimed would be too inflexible and should only be used for shoes.
The shops I used did not have any plastic armour.
With jackets, make sure that the arms are extra long as you will be crouched over the handlebars. The back of the jacket should be low to reach your jeans. Try to get them to make the jacket very loose as you will be wearing thick clothing underneath your jacket.
I also had a pair of motorcycle gloves made which came back as dress gloves made from soft lambskin after they had promised to make them from thick leather.
