as far as I can see.
1) You will never get a competitive exchange rate in your country of origin.
2) The rates on offer at the Denpasar airport will always be a bit off the pace, but convenient for a small change to get Taxi money etc.
3) The rates on the street are best judged by what is on offer at the "formal" exchange places Kuta PTY (Dedicated to exchange only)
4) If you find rates significantly better than this, be prepared to get ripped off.
5) Don't be confused by sell rates and buy rates...there is a significant difference.
6) Each day, get a handle on what the "base rate" is, and treat that as the norm, + or - a couple of hundred rupiah.
7) It will spend quicker than you thought, regardless of what rate you get.

Don't be dragged in by rates that appear to be a "bargain". There is no such thing on the money markets.
