Just to help with your price comparisms, I paid 250,000 last month one way to get from a hotel next to the airport to Ubud. It was a hotel four wheel drive though with a great english speaking driver. He did say something about the blue bird taxis charging a surcharge of 30% outside the Kuta area. Not sure if that is right or not. They are also likely to try to quote off the meter.
