Envy you Alan with having your Indonesian girlfriend/wife living in Australia with you. Still sorting through that drama myself.
If you went to Tretes from Surabaya them you must have passed through Pandaan ( home of the source of spring water for 1/2 the Ayr bottle companies ) which is where I am building a house with the GF's family. It's cool there but not as cold as Tretes. Look forward to some of your adventures. The bus/train/ rickshaw/ojek trip I did from bali to Malang is something I should write about but as i said, would love to hear more of your stories.
