you just don't know any teachers that work those hours..I have & still do.
They also work (on school related matters)out of school hours at home, after school at school, on the weekends & yes on their holidays too.
And yes there are some that don't and are slack, as in any job.
Yes most people in other jobs may like those hours you stated for 41 weeks a year but I doubt it.
As said, it's not just those hours they work & what the job entails if you work hard at it (and the subsequent pay level)just may not be that appealing to most.
During non contact hours with the children, teachers often are dealing with parents, programming, having meetings, marking, are on courses etc to further benefit their knowledge & enhance children's education.
Actually your attitude towards teachers is quite outdated.
These days generally parents etc are more supportive & involved in their child's education, so do have a fair idea of what goes on.
It's like saying a real estate agent has a cushy job when in reality unless you actually do that job or live with someone that does ..how would you really know how much effort goes into that job or what they actually do?
Don't see the point though in your continual posts / snide comments re teachers slipped in on other posts here whenever you can.
Guess we will have to agree to disagree on the subject.
Enjoy your the rest of your holiday..
