have not stayed at MBR. Pool areas are awesome and as they say location is everything, right on the beach. The rooms are a little tired but functionable, no leaky showers or anything and great air-con, small fridge, room safe and they will supply kettle if you ask.
The Boardwalk cafe, part of the resort has a very reasonably , extensive menu (western and Asian) which I recommend you visit even if you choose not to stay at BGH.
