Just back last Sunday 16th. We were also in Bali June /July this year. There was definitely an increase in security. The army were stationed at both ends of Kuta Square the day we went there 2 days prior to the executions. Hotel security was also more vigilent. We sayed at KP and security were even patrolling the pool area during the day as well as both entrances. Every door to Centro had security and all back packs were opened and inspected (same at Matahari). The coast guard were patrolling the waters off bali also.I never felt unsafe but probably payed a little more attention to what was going on around me. We had a great time as usual. Ate early and crashed early as we were up at 6am most days.
