I was wondering though why you have no problem with your guide's give to the poor scam? Scamming in this way has great ramificatios for the supposed recipients. Not only do they not benefit but others are dissuaded from donating. There have been many successful prosecutions in Australia of dodgy fundraisers with the involved charities reputations suffering and donators attempting to retrieve their donations and vowing never to donate again.
