Days Out
Waterbom: We love this day, I love going down all the water slides with kids,
We got a cabana which was great cost 150,000rp but between 2 family's was only $10.50 each, for people with older kids over 6yrs number 1-4 were in great positions just near the main pool. We used a voucher that had lunch included for $21 us dollars cost $100.00 for the 4 of us to get in we had a choice of about 8 items for lunch with a soft drink . We stayed all day and loved the new rides, my kids called the Whirlpool the Flush as they felt like they we going down the toilet (they thought this was very funny) the Boomerang is great and hearing all the Japanese men scream like baby's was hysterical.
Safari Park:
Every thing has been said a great day. Must do cost $187.00 for 4 $22.00 for 2 photos with animal, your entry only includes photo with 1 animal on your camera, any extra animal to pat cost $4.28 per person.
We had a driver Connie and her hubby Made, Connie came with us inside which was great as we didn't miss anything she knew when all the shows were on, lovely person very informative we paid 500,000 rp for the day (we know there are cheaper) but this was between 2 families only 250,000 each and having Connie was great, she also had an esky with lovely cold drinks.
C-Bali bike tour
What a super day out we got picked up at 7.30am 2hr drive to location, Rach who runs the tour is an Aussie, but has been living in Bali for 2 years, she is very informative and a lovely person. Get to location and have Breakfast then go canoeing for approx 1.5- 2hrs
Come back and have lunch very nice fish, they had to cook another one for my son!!!
Then go for a bike ride through 2 villages one very poor, one not as poor. Rach explain everything about the Balinese culture and it was super, I can not say enough and it is a must do. We walked around the Village and looked at the School, my kids were shocked!! No Football oval, no Netball rings, no Handball courts, no Canteen.
All the kids where out and we took loads of photo and then showed them, they all giggled with delight to see themselves on the camera. Back to base for a lovely cold drink then we are driven back. This cost us $230.00 for 4 for everything and was worth every cent.
Elephant Safari
Once again Connie and Made picked us up and we did the elephant safari Cost $250.00 and we loved the experience, after we went to the Lotus in Ubud for lunch very nice and beautiful setting. After lunch we went to Monkey Forest $6.50 to get in and I do not trust the monkey, beautiful garden though. I clicked my fingers near a baby to turn its head for a photo and the Mother charged at me with all teeth bearing, It scared the living crap out of me, and was a stupid thing to do. We headed to Tanah lot this Temple is lovely and we went across into the temple the kids had a blessing for a small donation, on the walk down there were 2 men with python snakes, my daughter loves all animal so she went running up and had the snake put around her neck, a lot of japenese stop to take photo, then the other man got the huge python weighed 45kg and put it around my son and daughter, they loved it and it created a huge crowd for the snake guys, the had me daughter laying on the ground with the large snake wrapped around her like a blanket, we were with snakes for ages, we gave them 50,000 rp $7.00 and it was worth every cent, the kids had a ball. The large snake eats 20 ducks a month.
A Village walk
This was through the Dynasty for a 1hr walk in the morning was great and very hot, if you stay there its worth doing. The guide stopped us in the side lane and asked for everyone to donate 10,000rp to give to the poor, I'm sure and this went in his pocket but I have no problem with that, it was good thinking by him, he made 130,000 rp probably more than a week wages.
Also at the Dynasty I won Bingo one day 130,000rp
My daughter won the Frog race 60,000 rp
And we won at quiz night, the activities are great and fun.
Geneva Handicraft
This was like a day out for us, we had a ball there and brought heaps I got beautiful carved picture to hang for $22.50 a beautiful tray for $20.00 and $26.00

My son and daughter did all there souvenir shopping here they had a ball buying all there friends and family wooden statues and necklaces etc:
Thankfully we got a van, and it was full coming back we would never had got it all in a taxi.
Although we were there for 15 days the time flew and I still felt I need R&R days around the pool, I do love to shop so we did this a lot, if it was on my own with the family or with my girlfriend.
My only disappointment was I did not go to Joy Jewelers, but now I have an excuse to go back.
The people are lovely the food was great and the pampering was heaven.
I used the laundry across from Diane's it s in a tailors 20,000 rp for 10 pieces, I had all my laundry done before we left so no dirty clothes to come home and wash and they pack it so well I just put it in my case like that.
