ouch! you are going to get slammed, but my only advice is don't take it personally. some people on here think that everyone should know everything about Bali on here, and that you shouldn't be asking questions like this. But I wonder why we have this forum anyway, if people can't ask questions they want to know the answers too? All I did when I was there recently was not to go to nighclubs, (as I had young children with me anyway - not my scene) and avoided restaurants in Kuta, we stayed and ate in Seminyak out and beyond. Be aware, but without being paranoid, the people in Bali are the best you will ever find, and you will forget about all the negatives on this in an instant. Enjoy your trip, we did, and we will love the place now and will be back many times. ;-}
