After reading through a number of Forum messages and peoples comments about the price of Beer, Food and Accommodation going up, please keep in mind that Bali "used" to be subsidised by the Government and now that has slowly been removed over the past Year or so and the Hotels, Restaurants etc., are paying more for their products and have to increase their prices, yes there has been jump of 20-30% in some cases and unfortunately there is more bad news to come with further rises early next year.
Bali has been cheap for many years and is now starting to raise prices. Nobody likes high prices but just think of your own country and what you pay for a Beer, Food and Accommodation.
I go to Bali with the intent of having a good relaxing Holiday and it is STILL the cheapest holiday I can have with the Balinese people who look after me in my Hotel (Green Garden) and are genuinely happy to see me each time I come back.
