KP is now very "close". It is on a long narrow block and there is not much in the way of open spaces to act as a buffer. The old quiet rooms have a path along the front and with twice the traffic to breakfast/beach etc are now quite noisy with people meeting/greeting and chatting and admiring (or practising drop kicks on) the latest litter of kittens/discussing weather or their days plans.

There are more kids and they DO NOT stay around the new pool. They have every right to play in the old pool and it is shadier for the parents if they wish to supervise without getting sizzled.

Regarding breakfast, the Hotel now has twice the guests and still only one "egg man". If it rains you cannot sit outside where the majority of tables are set up, and often have to share a table upstairs. This is not too good for the elderly or infirm (the upstairs part, not the table sharing). Food often runs out but is replaced as soon as possible.

I personally take late breakfast 10am ish and it is still busy.

Depending how active you are for your age, try and get ground floor. No lifts and those stairs are killers!! Another tip is to try and avoid the rooms next to the steps as you have people clip clopping up and down the stairs all hours.

Still a lovely Hotel for the money. October is not usually too busy (if you avoid school hols, early Oct.)

For those interested, hot in Bali at the moment!!
