legian village hotel

Hi, does anyone have any experience/know of the Legian village hotel? I have booked a holiday with my kids in May for a couple of weeks and am worried the hotel may be too far from the beach or too basic. I have read all the info I can find on the internet and it looks okay but has had a couple of bad reviews and seems a long way to the beach on Google Earth. Thanks
