All you 'oldies Bali visitors' out there (like us), I need some serious help if anyone can. Cast your mind back about 21 years (if you can) to the old original Tanjung Benoa area about a ten minutes drive on a then unsealed road from the Bali Sol Resort (now the Melia Sol) in Nusa Dua.
There was once an amazing, incredible (fully open sided) restaurant situated pretty much by itself. There wasn't a lot at Tanjung Benoa in those days. It was relatively small with just a thatched roof, with no walls and raw wooden beams for the occasional water rat to run along.
It sat on the beach, on the water's edge, with little children coming up of an evening trying to sell shells and trinkets as the sun went down.
It served the very best foods and drinks at wickedly cheap prices. It's menu included many nationalities and cuisines.
If anyone, anybody actually remembers this little 'dinner and lunch haven' from many years ago, could they please tell me the name of it and if it may still exist and be around today? Or did it get 'swallowed up' by the massive sprawl of latter day four and five star resorts.
My then (new) wife and I spent many enjoyable times at this restaurant and were only talking about it tonight. We are going back to Bali at the end on April, and would love to visit the same place, if it is still around.
I would be indebted for any help or advise on the matter.
