thankyou. i made some enquiries with Garuda about upgrading our tickets. they said the cost depends on the type of ticket ie: flights only or package with accom. apparently it's cheaper for us to upgrade as we have flight only tickets. i only want BC on return leg (hate that midnight flight) and i couldn't have done that at initial booking. now have two options.
- upgrade at DPS check in will cost me US$250 pp, does not guarantee seats. i'm a little puzzled about that one, pay up first, no seats, then what?
- upgrade at Garuda office in Bali the day of departure will cost me US$350 pp and IS guaranteed, which is even more puzzling.
Guess we'll just have to wait and see. think I'll take your advice for next trip. thanks anyway :) sorry for the waffling, thought I'd post this info for others too.
