I have stayed in a few hotels in Bali for Nyepi day.
Generally I have found Hotels to be quieter, less lighting and limited menus.
Bali Garden was good as we had large grounds to wander around and terrific pool area, pool bar etc and beachfront. You can take a look along the beach from the boundary or front at the road and see 'no-one'! Get your self organised for an early dinner, as meals are usually served buffet style and candle light, so usually finished before its fully dark.
Last couple of years have stayed Legian in a smaller hotel. We have just done our own thing, read, swam, chatted etc.
