I suppose you are not coming to Bali for a shopping trip?
One week in Bali, never been there before and want to see as much as possible?
What is middle-aged in your point of view and what are you interested in, are you prepared to live out of the suitcase for one week?
Would you like to explore some of the culture of Bali, the landscape, traditional life, or are you more interested in hotel facilities, beach, and nightlife?
If you have only one week on Bali and you really want to get an impression of what Bali really is, then you should forget the 5 star hotels, there is also no need for it, because there are lots of nice, clean, little hotels with flair available and you won't find Bali in Nusa Dua.
Please describe some of your expectations and I will try to help you -no, I'm not involved in any way in the tourism business in Bali, I also don't have any personal, commercial interest, I'm neither a tourist agent nor do I want to advertise anything, but when I came the first time to Bali I was lucky to meet the right people and I had the time to explore it.
Bali might be disappointing in one week, or it will change your heart forever!
