I have experience with yahoo messenger. If you have installed the latest version of yahoo messenger. At the top of your messenger screen there is a icon of a phone which says call. You must add the contact of the person who you wish to call to your address book. Then you click on call and select the contact from your address book. Then it will ring the person like a normal dial tone on your comp. The contact must answer if you are to talk to each other, however if they do not answer you can leave a message and when they log onto yahoo they can play the unanswered message.
Obviously you have to have a mic on your screen (as does your contact to be able to communicate with you) and you both must have speakers.
It's very easy and best of all costs nothing!
