Timing is just perfect for us. SA leaves Brisbane at 11-45pm, so can work on Friday, pack a few things and head out to the airport. Can easily snooze on the aircraft through the night and get into Singapore about 5-30 am. Last year we spent the weekend in Singapore and fly to Bali on Sunday afternoon. This year we will just transit.
To us it beats the domestic flight to Melbourne on Saturday then onto Jetstar to Bali, and changing back on the way home. With SA on the way home, its just directly into Brisbane and we are home about 7-00am on Sunday morning. Couldn't be more perfect. We order our duty free before we leave and pick it up on the way back. Couldn't be more easier, plus the service is fantastic.
