After some 12 months reading the forum from the sidelines I have finally signed up as a member.
During the last year I have gained lots of great tips from forum members but unfortunately now my immediate reason for joining is to warn readers about Royal Brunei. After 35 years of international flights we flew RB to KK and I have never been so appalled with an airline.
12 hour flight delays, stranded in airports, ignored, ripped off and blatantly lied to by RB staff, planes where in-flight entertainment and seats dont work and apparently havent for many months. Attempts to address the issues up with the airline after the trip were met with brush-offs and more lies.
I have lost count of the airlines we have flown with over the years (from the "pointy end" to "cattle class") but never before have we been so badly treated.
We believe every travel experience needs to be judged in context and we have been fortunate enough to have had many great trips each with its highs and lows and I appreciate that some will say that we just had "bad luck". They will list their own positive experiences with RB but this is the only airline in the world that we would never fly with again.
Forget Royal Brunei
