QFF Seats

I know its a case of persevering and good luck but does anyone know if they make QFF seats available during peak periods? ie. Boxing Day/New Year. I am looking daily with no luck yet so am wondering if anyone has actually got an international QFF seat during peak times in the past. Thanks
