The first time we returned to Bali after the first bomb i thought i would be on edge the whole time.
You soon slip into 'Bali Mode' and forget any concerns.
There are undercover police patroling Kuta, and security at motels has beefed up. Bigger shopping centers have metal detectors and security.
I will admit however that i get alittle nervous every now and then when i am at Discovery Mall as it is a huge lump of Westernisation. But its only for a brief moment.
It does go through your mind when you are at a busy resturant especially if it is 'foreign owned'. But its just for a fleeting moment, why worry about something that may never happen??

BUT to be honest with you, i feel we are in the most unsafe country (Australia) as we have had no terrorist attacks.

I also feel it is alittle unfair that the Government will probably never remove the warning from the DFAT site in regards to Bali, just to cover their own butts (i suppose cant blame them).

When you think what happend in America, London etc, which was a hell of alot worse than Bali - and there is no DFAT warning???? It really makes you wonder.
