Have you ever noticed that this happens every year in July & August. I think it has more to do with them putting on extra flights in other areas to cover the European holidays than anything else.
The plane is never available, if you check the gates when you are at the airpoort your plane is not even there waiting for passengers. Have had this happen several times over the last 7 years. Never happened prior to that. I have actually been told this by high up Garuda staff.
They use the excuse of fog and the plane not carring enough fuel as really who is going to complain too loudly if it is a safety issue.
Annoying yes definately. The least Garuda can do is advise people before they have packed and left for the airport. I am not an early riser and if I can get a few more hours sleep then all the better for me, lol.
