post to bali...time to get there?

Has anyone had any trouble posting mail to Bali? My family are bringing a friend to Perth and we posted the sponsor letter etc 2 weeks ago today...my friend in Bali has still not received it..could it still be on its way? or shall i try posting it again?
im getting a bit worried as he cannot book flights until he receives my letter and applies for the visa...or if anyone is going to Bali next week and staying at the dynasty maybe they could pass on for me?

any help/advice greatly appreciated
