It is the last room upstairs, of the new 6 rooms.
The wooden rooms are either side of the pool.
If you dont know the layout of Tegal Sari, basically all rooms, reception, pool, gym etc are in a straight line, overlooking the rice paddies. The new 6 rooms, all Super deluxe are at an L shape, out on to the rice paddies.
I thought that the view from the new rooms would lose something, but in my opinion, lost nothing.
We always eat our breakfast on the balcony to take in the view and activities.
The view changes from full rice in grain, to stripped/raped, water paddies, ducks grazing, growing rice shoots. Its glorious and never once have we felt disappointed with the seasonal view.
(In Bali most rice crops seed over 4 months, so 3 crops a year).
There are restaurants close by, within walking distance, but heaps in 'downtown Ubud' and the TS staff will drive you there and pick you up at no charge.
I have stayed at Tegal Sari 6 times, (so far) and pre paid every time using my credit card, and never had a problem. You are required to make full payment for the room as the hotel gets booked out many times, and it makes sense to secure genuine bookings (rather than people who book and change their minds) when others are after the rooms. (Thats the way I would run a business!)
Allow an hour to drive from Sanur to Ubud.
