You are on a Bali Travel forum though where at any time of the year that I have been (every year)...there has been at least one forumite up there... and so that tells you that most of us go anyway.
I don't stay in the huge touristy hotels, I eat at the local restaurants rather than the touristy ones and I just proceed with caution.
IN my own personal opinion when your time is up it's up.
There are those on here that don't agree with that but many do.
End of day it's got to be your choice.
