Beaches along the north coast are good for fishing and snorkelling and there are daily dolphin trips at dawn.
We have stayed in Rambutan Cottages which is in Kalibukbuk, Lovina, Singaraja area. The hotel is lovely and caters for all standards of accomodation. Check out the website http://www.rambutan.org/ They offer discounts to BTF BCF etc posters.
You can stop midway between the Kuta areas and the north coast at Bedugal, stay over at Pacung Indah, experience the Candi Cuning markets.
You can head more NW to the Pemuteran area, where you can enjoy the peace and nice beaches.
