Once all the stress of getting to Bali and our interview are out of the way we can now settle in and enjoy Bali. I often suffer back problems leading to being able to walk long distances, which yes is a big problem in Bali as walking is a great way to get around? Well my Dian introduced me to Sanopas patches and they worked a treat went from walking with great paid and only for a few hundred metres to walking with no pain from Camplung Mas hotel to Centro Discovery shops via the beach which we both enjoyed.

Went shopping as you do in Bali I love discovery mall and sitting in the eateries out on the beach side. Was being renovated upstairs while there in June. Have bought two sets of perscription glasses at seis optik on the ground floor, second pair was of this trip good frames nice and modern and with standard lenes about $120 lenses in Perth to replace another set this year cost over $170 with my old frames, so good prices in Bali. Service is great and the eye test free, and I'll just add they have a matchine that checks your eyes and tells what your perscription already says its so good.

Went out to Carrefour the new place on sunset rd which was just starting to be built last October when I was in Bali with dian. Best way to explain this place is that its a mall on several floors leading to the top floor being carrefour department store just like BigW only bigger, some odf the prices are just brilliant and they even have a small eatery that was great got a meal for Dian and myself as well as a drink and I had change from 30,000 RP. Got some great t shirts at Carrefour and some stuff for Dian's mum!

Yes finnally met the outlaws, she has a mum 2 brothers not met yet and I also met the naughty aunty as we called her (cheeky as). Both her mother and aunty did not speak english but the first time we met we sat talking at Dian's Denpasar home (a one room typical Bali house for family or single person) it was very small, anyway we sat Dian myself Dian's mother and aunty, I was nervous meeting her mother for the first time and thought how the hell will we communicate as my indonesian is very bad. Well it just worked you know we talked Dian acting as a interpretor but I could kinda understand both ladies rather well even aunty, you see the reason was she was flirting with me and she could say two words in english, "Hello Darling" which she said to me every time we saw her.

We took them out for a day trip we went to Bali zoo and then on to Ubud to a nice reastuarant for what was a great dinner. as well as mother and aunty not speaking english aunty had never been to a reasuarant of any kind and even asked what the fork and knife were for (she asked if they were for fighting) Dian told me after, well next was the menu well mum can read ok so she went through the menu with aunty and said in indo this is nice but you can't have it its to expensive, and this is nice but to much also, well I laughed when Dian said this to me and told her to tell both our guests that whatever they wanted was fine and explained that dinner here will cost about what I pay for lunch at work in two days. We ended up having a great dinner and everyone had a great time I think me most of all. After being so nervous about meeting Dian's mum I had nothing to worry about we all hit it off great, and both ladies enjoyed being driven in the new van from Camplung Mas with our driver Bule.

Anyone ever looking for a great driver Bule works at Camplung Mas but can do outside work as well and is fantastic, he always looks after me when I go to Bali.

On the way back to the hotel we say good bye to our two guests mum and aunty and head back to the hotel, we talk for a long time about our day out and how great it was. Dian asked me if I could understand her aunty in her house earlier and I said yes it was easy to understand her even if it was in a language other than english. I said yes she is naughty and was flirting with me and Dian also laughed and said yes she was.

We went out to dinner at Legian garden that evening only to hear from staff that they were going to close soon as the boss did not want to renew the lease, very sad as they will be without a job and was a great place and so close to Camplung Mas hotel.

Oh as a foot note Bali zoo is looking so much better than last October since the guys from Peel Zoo have been helping out up there and please if your thinking of something to do go to Bali Zoo and support both the staff/village and the animals I'll post some pictures on my webshots soon.
