not being able to get a seat when you want is hardly the same as having no direct services. I'm not having a go at Garuda, I understand that the airline can not be all things to all people I just wish an airline flew direct from Brisbane. Certainly there are more people travelling to Bali domestically but this is mainly during their holidays times such as Ramadan. When I first travelled to Bali back in 98, the place was packed with tourists - it is nowhere near that busy now. I was also saying that with other Asian carriers being able to fly Asian ports direct it is sometimes easier to go these destinations rather than have to add a return flight to Sydney onto the costs.
