they're just not Australian. Previously, when Garuda were flying from everywhere in Australia there was not much of a domestic market. When I first went to Bali in 1982 and for years after that Westerners were the majority market, now we are the minority. People fly from Jakarta for the weekend now, like we in the west, would go to Rottnest. If it wasn't for the domestic market some hotels would go under. When Garuda stopped some of its Aussie market the planes went to servicing the domestic market. They now do not have the planes for any more services. The flights from Denpasar to Perth were changed to 1.30am so that the planes spent less time on the ground (became a turn around flight) and more in the air. If we wanted, we in Perth could also complain, we have the flights out of Perth but we cannot get a seat when we want it. The airline can not be all things to all people.
