Yes! we did Lombok and Gili isles, in May, we flew to lombok, (20mins)cost 620,000rp for 2 adults one way, stayed in sengigi at the Holiday resort, for one night, very nice hotel, and reasonable price, then taxi to harbour, and over by speedboat (approx 30mins) to gili Trawangan, stayed 2 nights at Villa Ombok was beautiful room, but expensive, we ate most of the time at the Beach cafe , food was yum! checked out the rooms there and were nice and must say much much cheaper than vill Ombok.
We loved what we did see of Lombok, but wish we had stayed longer, also gilli trawangan, remind us of the phi phi island, and scenery like thailand.
Oh well! may hop over to bali in aug, and maybe spend more time in Lombok and Gilli, certainly recomend, and is so different to Bali.
