What a completely apalling piece of spin! "we will continue to offer our loyal kiwi friends access to Garuda services...as long as they get their own butts across to Sydney or Melbourne in time to catch one of our planes" That is what he is really saying! Palllleeeeze! Now I have heard it all. Memo to Mr Cemerlang and your Garuda colleagues; You earn customer loyalty by remaining loyal to your customers through good times and bad. You can't buy loyalty by serving up sycophantic drivel such as...and you most definitely don't get it by cutting customers adrift the moment the ball doesn't quite bounce your way. Instead of navel-gazing perhaps you and your airline mates would be better served studying the reasons behind how and why Singapore airlines can not only sustain a daily service out of Adelaide to Singapore, but can also attract a growing sector of the market to use the airline as a link to Bali even though the travel time and cost are greater than that of Garuda. Meanwhile, Garuda's business strategy is to simply lay down, roll over and shut shop!
