Which hotel and wheres best?

Hi I am trying to decide on whether to stay at the Dynasty in Kuta or the Sanur Paradise Plaza in Sanur. We have friends staying in Sanur at the paradise plaza, but have been told that Sanur is quiet and not much shopping and restaurants available there. So TA recommended the Dynasty as we have a 5year old! Now so unsure of where to stay...any suggestions greatly appreciated. Also, if I may, what's the difference between the Plaza Hotel and Suites, is one better than the other?
