Just returned from one week staying at MBR with our 2 children (aged 9 and 2). We flew Skywest did the perth - broome - pt Headland - denpsar. The flights really didn't seem to take that long at all by the time you were served your meal it was time to land again. Flights were about half full to Pt headland and then basically full to Denpsar. Staff were lovely lots of leg room, kids meals were terrific our meals sadly same old plane food. I don't think we would fly Skywest again with the kids, our 2yr slept for 13 hours when we arrived in Bali and when we got home 4 days later she is still tired.
MBR was great stayed in room 106 lovely big suite which had heaps of room for all of us. We ate breaky a few mornings and was ok but after some people got sick we decided to not risk it with the kids and ate at legian snacks and indonational which both had a great breaky. we spent a lot of time just relaxing and shopping as you do!
Went to Poppies 2 and had some clothes made, had the best meal at WARANG JEGEG BULAN it was so good went went back another night.
Bubba Gumps was another great resturant had lots of fun our 9yr old loved turning the sign over STOP FOREST STOP. very funny staff was an enjoyable night.
We took a day trip to Lovina and this was a highlight of our trip. we took little johnny as our driver 250,000 for the day, loved the scenery through the mountains stoped on the way and seen some animals of the side of the road a fruit bat some kind of dragon and a massive snake our son just loved this, feed the monkeys and then went to the Melka hotel and swam with the dolphins (please don't start!) The male dolphin Jack was very frisky with me but was still an enjoyable experience, we also swam with the female who is pregnant, again our 9yr old was in heaven. The instructor let us feed the dolphins some fish and our 2yr old had a go and couldn't stop laughing. Something I will remember forever.
Overall our trip was really enjoyable rained a few nights and a couple of mornings but nothing to stop you doing as you pleased. wish we had stayed longer but had to come back. Just to let you all know we did have to pay the depature tax of 100,000 for our 2yr old so please don't get stuck thinking you won't have too.
