A few weeks ago I booked a FF for October/November. Last week I called Jetstar and got my seat allocation. They also gave me a Jetstar reference number for when I want to buy extra weight.
Dont know when you are flying but if its soon maybe you cant book a seat as the majority of seats were sold and allocated during their opening specials? Just a thought.
You can use QFF to book Starclass as there is a special - 20% off points for travel on Starclass flights, Sydney to Denpasar, between 15 Nov 06-31 May 07 making it 40,000 each way. Info is at the FF, member specials, international offers page.
When speaking with QFF before booking I did ask if I booked economy now could I upgrade the return segment to Starclass later if seats were available. They said yes, all I would need to do is ring QFF and they would arrange over the phone and I would just have to pay the assisted booking fee (2,500 points? or 5,000? cant remember)
