i would definately hire a driver to stay with you. When i was there , there werent any taxis. I have a friend in bali who is a driver and goes there to surf alot. If you need his contact details email me. He is very cheap and could find out all the details of when and what time etc is best to go there for the surf. Wouldn't cost too much, but you can contact hima nd ask if you need to.
