Candi Dasa day trip from Ubud?

HAve been to Bali many times, have not been to Candi Dasa/Amed area before.How long does it take to get there from Ubud? What is recommended to do in this area? Recommended drivers/cost from Ubud area? "Island of the Gods" can't seem to email you! You had a good 'MUST DO' post on recently. Would love more info. Thanks...
