Star Class offers a seat pitch of just 38 inches...that's about 5 or 6 inches better than economy, but a long way short of the average 50 - 55 inches you will experience in the biz class section of other airlines. Mind you, it should be acknowledged that Jet Star is not really trying position its product as a Biz class cabin. Its web site merely refers to it as a premium class cabin and is very upfront about what you get for your money. It appears as though it adds about $250 each way to fare and this puts it into the same court as Garuda Exec class. Garuda's exec class also is a long way short of the true biz class experience...the cabins and seats are looking a bit shabby, catering has fallen away over recent years, the seats are very roomy with 50 inches of leg room (that's lots more than Jet Star), but the seats are good without being especially comfortable. In the end though, I still reckon Garuda offers excellent value for money and it's a pretty happy way to begin or end your Bali experience. Cheers - kevin
