A person cannot help everyone they come into contact with, you can provide compassion and at the very least do not harm them. Either with words or thoughts.
You have received an offer. The answer is either yes or no. Simple.
Yes i can give you some money.
No i am unable to help you on this occasion. No expanasion is needed as to why.
SMS and the written word is very limited in conveying expression with anyone, subtleties are often lost. (Just think of the unintentional offence some posts have received and cleared up with a further explanation)
So, ring and speak to your friend as suggested on the earlier post.
Trust your gut feeling. Don't complicate the situation with guessing and wondering who knows what and maybe someone else has written it etc.......
Decide what is best for you and leave it at that.
