I agree with your point that Dengue Fever does affect the very healthy as well as the not so healthy.

I picked up Dengue Fever in Surabaya en route to Bali when I was a very healthy 24 year old. One day I could walk 30 km and the next day I could not walk 30 m. The Doctor in Kuta told me that all I had was a sore throat which I refused to believe.

I treated myself with Asprin which reduced the fever and returned to Australia. I was not able to work at my desk job for two weeks. After six months, the Australian doctors gave me a positive laboratory test result for Dengue Fever, which was a relief as I thought that I may have had Malaria.
