Everyone enjoys different things, both at home and abroad.
Some like MBR, some don't. Some like Indonational, some don't. Amazingly there's a lot of people who have never stayed at MBR who will say negative things that they've heard 5th hand though their neighbour who works with someone who's sister's postman's friend once stayed there 5 years ago and got Bali Belly eating the breakfast... or could it have been the dozens of other places he ate while in Bali? Or maybe it wasn't actually MBR after all... :)
Don't ever let anyone make you feel anything negative for your choices. Some like to stay at 5 star Nusa Dua resorts and never pass the gates from check-in till they're ready to fly home. Some like to stay in fan-cooled losmen with no hot water. Some like to eat at the flashest 5 star expensive Indian, Italian, Spanish etc restaurants. Some prefer to stick to as much Indo food as they can and others like to mix it up. Nobody is right and nobody is wrong - we're just all different.
There's all types of people on this forum with all kinds of tastes. There's also all kinds as far as the way they treat each others and cast judgements.
