My wife and I are relatively new to this forum have been browsing for several weeks now. We have been traveling to Bali for 28 years (lost count how many times) usually twice a year and recently 3 times a year. We have stayed at many 5 star hotels in Sanur and Nusa Dua and also many hotels in the Tuban, Kuta, Legian and Seminyak areas.
4 years ago we found MBR which suits our needs perfectly. Always stay in old suites. My Son was married there and our family and friends all stay there also. There has never been any complaints at all, we also have never heard complaints or winges about breakfast from our friends and relatives. We also have eaten at many many restaurants from warungs to 5 star. Also have met and known several owners of restaurants and bars there. We have also eat and drink Indonational and known K and M since it was opened. My point is after reading comments from this forum regarding indonational and MBR are We are made to feel like low life, cheapskates.
Our next trip, which we booked yesterday leaving 26th Feb. ( 2rd time since 3 weeks in Sept.) We will be staying again at MBR and eating and drinking at Indo. Our motivation for this sudden trip was the opening of Bali Rock Café we were there for the closing and promised we would be there for the opening .
My wife and I have traveled the world and read other forum chat regarding other places we have visited but some posters on this forum are shockers. The JBR's and all the positive posters are fantastic.
