Although they don't fly to Bali, passengers can spend time in Singapore if they want and then get a very cheap Air Asia return flight to Bali.
I.E. they don't fly to Cambodia either however i was able to get an Air Asia 'free' return Bangkok - Phnom Penh - Bangkok ticket for taxes only price of au $84.76 return. This added to my Perth -Singapore -Bangkok return flight is a total of au $572.22 including taxes.
I honestly don't think that even allowing for the added cost of any meals/drinks i could get it any cheaper. So yes pretty exciting for Perthites.
If passengers want to they have the option of choosing to pay about au $42 extra to upgrade from 15 kg to 20 kg, however it might be better for them to just have one of those super lightweight bags. ;)
Yes i will let you know end of May what they are like as a carrier.
